You have to hand it to Ford for not only seeing the light but running after it with no time to waste.  Ford has an ambitious market target for its electric cars and is setting itself as the clear winner in the U.S..

The gist is that Ford has come back from hell.  Yes, the car maker is not completely out of the woods yet, it still has to repay loans it took out two years ago, but it has made all the right moves and is now aggressively targeting 1 out 4 of its car to be electrified by 2020.

Electrifying Intelligently.  We we look at the numbers, it surely sounds like Nissan and Ford have one thing in common, to be the number one car company of the future.  With an aggressive target of a quarter of electric drive cars in their fleet, Ford is set to become the winner in the U.S. and judging by its global capacity, could give Nissan a lot of competition.

Going About The Electric Drive.  The intelligent part for both of these companies is that no one is shifting completely into electric vehicles, EV only.  It would not only be absurd considering the global financial state but neither have enough cash reserve to weather the storm before complete adoption of electric vehicles, EVs.  By showing its commitment and giving its environmentally friendlier cars more coverage than their regular internal combustion engine, ICE ones, they are doing the right thing.  The regular ICE cars will pay for the development of EVs while only a fringe of early adopters will buy them.  It makes sense and we can cheer the efforts of both.
